Brisbane luxury living best value for money
When it comes to value for money in luxury living, Brisbane is the place to be – and no place more so than Brisbane 1.
The city’s outstanding value for money has once again been highlighted, this time in new research by leading property consultants Frank Knight.
That’s great news for the Sunshine state, and especially Brisbane 1 – one of our city’s premier apartment developments.
According to Frank Knight’s Prime Residential Review report, Brisbane buyers can secure 114 square metres of internal luxury floor space for around US$1 million – more than twice the amount of space in Sydney at 51 square metres.
Melbourne – offering an average of 98 square metres – is also significantly more expensive than Brisbane.
It is little wonder the researchers have highlighted the strong buyer interest in Brisbane’s luxury home market, where new prime apartments (the top five per cent most valuable properties) have increased 41.7 per cent in price since 2015.
“Ahead of the southern cities to come out of lockdown, Brisbane was the best performing prime residential market in the second quarter of 2020 on the east coast – and now on the radar of returning expats attracted not only to the balmy lifestyle but the relative value,’’ the research said.
“There has been a significant surge in global expat interest in Brisbane, with an uptick in enquiries from those living in the Asia Pacific region looking for a base back home.
“This has been partly driven by people moving due to employment reasons but also families reassessing their priorities.
“Brisbane ranks high for lifestyle and is attractive given the relative value.’’
